german railway system Deutsche Bahn
by train:

Easy :-) Step off the train halfway between Aachen and Mönchengladbach. You reed 'GEILENKIRCHEN' on the station sign. Depending on your traveling direction it might happen for hurrying or slowly Travelers, that they see 'LINDERN' instead witch is one station away. But this doesn't really matter since Lindern belongs to GK anyway.

by bike:

Just follow the little creek 'Wurm' through its lovely valley, along horse paddocks and old estates to (in the meantime) international city Geilenkirchen. Finally you find yourself back in GK, standing in front of an Italian restaurant or an Italian ice-cafe, depending on your traveling direction coming from the north or south.

canoe
by canoe:

This will be stressing. Try to find the Rhine-delta in the Atlantic ocean (North See) and paddle cross the river 'Rhine' into the river 'Maas'. Then at the city Roermond (Netherlands) into the 'Roer'. After you crossed the German border, you are allowed to call this little stream 'Rur'. Not too far away from GK anymore just turn left into the 'Wurm' and you will arrive us soon. During your journey you hat time enough to adapt to our mentality since you have been paddling against the stream all the time!

Ceep a look on your map during free fall! Be sure to hit 50° 57´ 52,318“ north  /  6° 7´ 9,245“ east. For the final adjustment there is a selection of sugar beet-, potato-, strawberry- or grain-fields.

by ultra-light-plane:

Merzbrück is a small plane airfield next to Aachen. Besides this, You might have heard of these so called „flying lawn mowers“ . These planes found a lot of friends in Germany. A club (Ultraleicht- Fliegerclub) has a small airfield west of Heinsberg ( GPS 51° 2´ 50“ N 6° 2´ 50“ E ).
