		Interessengemeinschaft Historischer Schienenverkehr e.V. The last 1000 mm steam train course in NRW . With a top speed of 20 km per hour, it roles between Geilenkirchen-Gillrath and Gangelt-Schierwaldenrath 6 km trough the fields, along gardens and meadows. Picking flowers during the ride is not allowed! Bicycles will be transported! The station workshop and museum trains are at Schierwaldenrath. During the Christmas season special rides are available, Santa Claus will step in, arriving by coach.
		On special events an oldtimer bus takes you for a 'windmill tour'. Operating time : easter - September Sat. and Sun. or on apointment. Special rides: Easter, Santa Claus and during Chistmas season. More information at the webside: www.selfkantbahn.de

		until the end, turn right (B221) towards Heinsberg Exit Aldenhoven (B56) to Geilenkirchen at the traffic lights (ARAL gas station) turn left. Pass Straeten and Waldenrath to Birgden. Look for the sign an take a right to Schierwaldenrath / Saeffelen. Follow that street out of the village Birgden to Schierwaldenrath. At the entrance to the village Schierwaldenrath you see the museum railway station on the left. Pass Geilenkirchen on the ring road direction Sittard (NL) and continue to Gillrath. Within the village Gillrath you have the option: 1) Station Gillrath: take the first left (just before the church). 2) Station Schierwaldenrath: Take the second right (at the church) in direction Birgden. Birgden: At the T-splitting left and take the next right in direction Schierwaldenrath. Follow that street out of the village Birgden to Schierwaldenrath. At the entrance to the village Schierwaldenrath you see the museum railway station on the left.
